Ragnar Relay
Successful sporting events often create a significant impact in the
communities they are held.
Since 2005, Operation Kids and Ragnar Events have partnered in a joint effort to improve children’s health and fitness in communities nationwide. In June, Operation Kids had the opportunity to participate as part of Ragnar’s flagship event, Ragnar Relay Wasatch Back – a 188-mile running relay from Logan to Park City, Utah.
Even before the destruction caused by Hurricane Katrina, the educational system in New Orleans struggled. As the city has fought to come back to life, one organization has provided critical education support to New Orleans schools.
Thousands of runners will hit the trails, roads and lonely stretches of Northern Utah scenery this weekend in what has become the largest running event in the state and one of the biggest in the country.
Ragnar Relay Del Sol – Raising funds for children’s health in Arizona
Operation Kids’ charity partner Ragnar Events will kick off their 2009 racing season by hosting the Ragnar Relay Del Sol race in Arizona on February 27-28. Nearly 2000 runners participating in 12-person teams will compete in the 200-mile relay race from Prescott to Mesa. Charitable proceeds will benefit Future for Kids in Arizona.
MyoMed Ragnar Relay Florida
Ragnar Events sponsored its first-ever race across Florida in November as more than 60 12-person teams ran from Clearwater to Daytona Beach. Charity proceeds from the race went to support youth fitness programs provided by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Florida.
