Support Operation Kids’ Internet Safety Campaign in Utah
2008 Operation Kids Lifetime Achievement Award Honoring John Walsh

On Saturday, October 11, 2008 an audience of more than 800 guests will gather at the Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake City to join Operation Kids in presenting the 2008 Lifetime Achievement Award to John Walsh.
The tragic abduction and murder of his son Adam put John on a path of tireless commitment to protecting kids. Through his work on America’s Most Wanted, he has been responsible for bringing more than 1,000 criminals to justice. In addition, John was instrumental in the creation of the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, and has led the charge on Capital Hill for tougher legislation protecting kids, including the passage of “Adam’s Law.” John is a true advocate for kids and a deserving recipient of this award.
The Gala always features headline entertainment – this year’s featured artist is Collin Raye. Collin has earned five platinum albums and fifteen #1 hits. Other celebrities include Jim Brickman and host Dennis Haysbert, (CBS-The Unit, FOX-“24”).
Proceeds from the event will benefit three great organizations including the 
National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.
In connection with the Gala, Operation Kids will also launch a month-long children’s safety campaign. We have created a coalition of businesses, government, education and non-profit organizations which will collectively deliver a comprehensive program of awareness and prevention.
With partners FOX Television, Media One, Comcast and America First Credit Union, our goal is to get informationinto every home andschool in the state. We are also delivering localbenefit through the McGruff National Safe House program and the Utah InternetCrimes Against Children Task Force.
