Running from Woodstock to the Bronx...
Jun 23, 2009
The New York Ragnar Relay will have runners excited and ready to run as the race kicks off on May 15 in Woodstock, New York. With nearly 80 teams, almost 1000 runners, and team names such as The Fruit Salads, Stimulus Package, and Peace, Love&Blisters this is sure to be a great race!
Runners will run through the night as they pass the baton on to the next teammates. On May 16, the race will end in the Bronx. After a Ragnar Relay, runners are tired, sweaty, and have bloodshot eyes, but it never deters from the smiles on their faces and the rush they experienced from the 175-mile run.
Not only are the New York Ragnar runners dedicated to running, but also to charitable causes. The New York Ragnar Relay will benefit youth health and fitness programs along the race course. 100 percent of all donations will benefit local programs. To date, the New York teams have been the most generous of any Ragnar Relay event this year.
