Operation Kids and Ragnar Events Team Up to Raise Money for Best Buddies

Since 2005, Operation Kids and Ragnar Events have partnered in a joint effort to improve children’s health and fitness in communities nationwide. In June, Operation Kids had the opportunity to participate as part of Ragnar’s flagship event, Ragnar Relay Wasatch Back – a 188-mile running relay from Logan to Park City, Utah.

This year, Operation Kids chose Best Buddies Utah to be the benefited charity. All of the funds raised by runners and their supporters will go to provide opportunities for kids with intellectual disabilities and their buddies along the Wasatch Front to participate in their own Best Buddies 5k walk/run as well as to create additional chapters in local high schools.

We were able to raise more than $13,000 for Best Buddies Utah – despite a weekend of wild June weather. To those of you who participated by providing gifts for the drawing or volunteered your time to help us staff the Operation Kids booth, we offer our heartfelt thanks.
