2006 Lifetime Achievement Award: Ann Romney

Operation Kids honored Ann Romney, First Lady of Massachusetts, with its Lifetime Achievement Award on November 16, 2006. 

Romney was recognized for her many years of community service on behalf of childrne. She worked to raise awareness of children's issues, created funding programs and initiatives and served on multiple boards and committees.

The Lifetime Achievement Award gala raised $900,000 through private and corporate donations to benefit Right to Play, an athlete-driven international humanitarian organization that uses sport and play as a tool for the development of children in the world's most disadvantaged areas.
