Your Philanthropic Vision

Feb 2, 2010

As 2010 begins to unfold, and as we look forward to our Operation Kids Foundation Trailblazer Advisory Board Meeting on March 9, 2010, please know of my deep appreciation for your commitment to serve and your willingness to help. Your attendance and participation will help immensely as we share and discuss our plans for 2010 and beyond.

As I have spoken with many of you already, and hope to speak with all of you in advance of March 9, may I invite you to think about how you would answer the following questions:

  1. Describe your personal vision for philanthropic giving, and how have you gone about accomplishing that vision.
  2. What motivates you to give to a particular organization, and what then motivates you to give again to that organization? What prompts you to NOT give again to a particular organization?
  3. From what you know about Operation Kids, past and present, how do you think your experience and expertise will be of value to our efforts? How do you see yourself best helping Operation Kids?
  4. How might Operation Kids best help and assist your own philanthropic efforts in the c coming year?

As part of our meeting, we want to hear from each of you that day in regard to these questions. We feel you bring a singular breadth of experience and expertise in philanthropic endeavors—whether on the giving side, client development side or the fundraising side—and we would enjoy the opportunity to learn from you.

As we move closer to our meeting in March, should you have any questions or need additional information, or should you need assistance with travel, ground transportation or accommodations, please contact me via e-mail or via my cell at 617-721-3414.

Thank you again for your support of Operation Kids Foundation, and we look forward to seeing you soon!
